The new Sassy Sauces, dessert sauces from former pastry chef Maureen Gallagher Harder, are rich and luxurious. Harder whips up batches of bittersweet chocolate, peanut butter fudge, and rum caramel ($7.99 for an 11-ounce jar), all of which can be spooned over ice cream, pound cake, or fruit, or blended into milkshakes and floats. A fourth flavor, spicy dark chocolate, nimbly seasoned with chipotle, cayenne pepper, and Vietnamese cinnamon, debuts next month. Sassy Sauces was started after making christmas gifts for family and friends. A friend of mine had told me her husband had eaten half the jar with his fingers on the way home because he could not wait, he was hooked. After hearing about peoples addictions to the sauces I decided maybe others are just as passionate about their love of all that is chocolate and caramel. The dessert sauces are a great way to look like a star in the kitchen without actually having to cook a thing.

We make are sauces in small artisanal batches so we can pay attention to every detail. only the highest quality ingredients pure Vermont cream and butter and Belgium and French chocolate. We never put any chemicals or preservatives in our sauces because we don’t want to ruin them. Plus all of our sauces are gluten free.

Enjoy our sauces over ice cream or glaze a cake for a profesional look! Roll into truffles or swirl in your coffee for a special treat. Melt in microwave and have a gourmet fondue in seconds or just eat straight from the jar with a spoon which is the prefered method of our sauce groupies.
